Guides / Outside reflection

When to seek
outside reflection.

Another perspective is useful when it changes what you can notice, not when it pretends to decide for you.

Seek evidence when the question is factual

Use primary sources, measurements, tests, or direct clarification when a claim can be checked. A reflection is not evidence.

Seek authority when permission is missing

Escalate when an action exceeds your role, budget, safety boundary, or delegated permission. Neither religious language nor a generated response expands that authority.

Seek qualified help when stakes are high

Use an appropriate professional for medical, legal, financial, mental-health, safety-critical, or other consequential decisions.

Seek reflection when perspective is the constraint

Outside reflection may fit when the available facts are understood, the action remains yours, and decision uncertainty comes from assumptions, framing, purpose, timing, or tradeoffs.

Return to the task

Name what changed, if anything. Check it against evidence and responsibility. Choose a reversible next step or set the reflection aside.

What the Oracle does: it selects one Teaching randomly from the curated Canon and saves it for 90 days. It does not analyze your question, verify facts, prioritize work, give professional advice, authorize action, or guarantee an answer. A Consultation is optional; these steps stand on their own.
